I love popcorn. It’s fun to eat, can be flavoured in hundreds of ways, filled with fiber, and is nutritious (depending on what you add). I usually like to enjoy a bag at movie theatres but I’ve always found their version a bit too salty!
As usual, I look for quick and easy recipes to try and this paper bag version is no exception. All we need is a brown paper lunch bag, popping corn kernels, a microwave, and coconut oil, and it will be ready in less than 5 minutes!
1/4 cup dried popping corn kernels
1 tsp coconut oil
- Put the popping corn kernels in a paper bag and fold the top over (making sure to fold it well so no popcorn can escape)
- Pop in the microwave for about two minutes or when kernels pop 5 seconds apart
- Melt one teaspoon of coconut oil in the microwave (around 20-30 seconds)
- Mix popcorn and coconut oil together in a bowl
